There are still those for whom plank on frame construction is the most appropriate option, but this build method by no means excludes pragmatic thinking in rig design or effective cruising performance. This is a boat designed for a traditional boat builder - half of a couple with some serious sailing in mind. Beautifully built, she has become THEMBI, the subject of an ongoing series of articles in Classic Boat magazine.
Although no drawings exist at this time, this design could readily be converted to adopt a more modern timber construction method.
