New thoughts and developments........
The designs presented in the Sail and Power design categories result almost entirely from consideration of client requirements. Although it has always been the aim of this office to put a client's preferences first when developing a new design, thoughts do emerge that are intriguing to explore on a more speculative basis.
A few of these are presented here.
Design No.131: A 21m power launch concept
A rather more progressive take on the launch designs presented in the Power Design section leads us in the direction of this 21m concept vessel. The design goals are more performance oriented, and although the intention is to move towards a more modern look the clarity and simplicity of line which typifies much of the work from this office is retained.
The aim is to allow the shape of the boat to speak out, without interference or clutter from multiple "styling" elements superimposed upon the basic form.

Design No.132: A 66' Sloop
Taking the theme of elegant daysailers to a larger scale, this yacht offers the potential for serious performance with an elegance that is missing in the majority of modern sailing boats.
Many would label this as a "classic" style design, but it may already have been noticed that this word does not see much use in this web site. Although we very much hope that the yachts that come from this office will become classics in their own right, we have little time for labeling. In the final analysis a boat must make her own way in the world and oceans in particular pay no heed to marketing!
